Qualified to weld military technical products under DIN 2303.
DIN 2303 is the German standard setting quality requirements for companies that weld, produce and maintain military products. Direct Edge has been audited and qualified under DIN 2303 by GSI SLV Hannover (DVS), an approved body for the standard.
Our qualification covers class Q2 for welding work on components in class BK1.
Welding Processes
- 131: Metal inert gas (MIG) welding with solid wire electrode
- 135: Metal active gas (MAG) welding with solid wire electrode
- 141: Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding with solid filler material

What This Means for Customers
- Audited quality system: Welding on military products is carried out under a system assessed by an independent approved body.
- Named welding coordination: A designated welding coordinator and deputy are recorded on the certificate, supported by our on-site International Welding Engineer (IWE), International Welding Specialist (IWS) and International Welding Inspector (IWI).
- Ongoing oversight: The qualification is renewed periodically and is subject to audit by the approved body.
- Backed by ISO 3834-2: DIN 2303 works alongside our ISO 3834-2 fusion welding certification.
